I began my career in 2006 after graduating from the Boulder College of Massage Therapy. Over the years, I've learned that the root of the problem can often stem from scar tissue formation after surgery, injury or a prolonged period of inflammation. The tension from the site of tissue trauma can spread to surrounding areas of the body affecting lymph and blood flow, nerve function and range of motion. Over time, our bodies get used to it or and the injury goes unnoticed; before long, it feels "normal". When it doesn't feel normal after a period of time, a mindset develops "that's just the way it's going to be.”

In my experience, standard deep tissue massage is at times not enough to create sufficient relief in areas of traumatized tissue. To be a more effective therapist, I've developed a focus in helping mend traumatized tissues by reducing swelling, bruising and fibrotic texture of tissues. Old and new scars can be helped with a discerning quality of touch. I also take a whole body approach integrating a variety of hands-on styles of bodywork for lasting relief.

My desire to help people with cancer and lymphedema, led me to complete a Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certification in 2011 and a Lymphedema Therapy Certification in 2023. Over the years, I've pursued many continuing education courses in Scar Tissue Therapy, Myofascial Release, Oncology Massage, Breast Cancer Rehabilitation and Visceral Manipulation.
